Suffolk Downs Directions

How to get there: Suffolk Downs is situated at the intersection of Routes 1A and 145 and it is two miles north of Logan Airport. If you come from Boston, you need to take Callahan Tunnel. At the end of tunnel, the road joins Route 1A North. Now follow two miles until you reach the first set of lights. Go straight through lights and the main entrance is only 200 yards further on the right side. Try finding out a large green/white sign with horse and Suffolk Downs logo. To come from west, take Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) East, move through the Ted Williams Tunnel. You require to follow Route 1A North. Proceed further until first set of lights. Go straight through lights and the main entrance will be 200 yards further on the right. Try finding out a large green/white sign with horse and Suffolk Downs logo. To come from points south, take I-93 North to I-90 East, through the Ted Williams Tunnel. Follow to Route 1A North and proceed until the first set of lights. Go straight through lights and the main entrance is 200 yards further on right. Look for a large green/white sign with horse and Suffolk Downs logo. To come from points north, you require taking I-93 south to Callahan Tunnel. At exit of the tunnel, the road becomes Route 1A north. Follow two miles until the very first set of lights. Go straight through the lights and the main entrance is 200 yards further on the right. Look for a large green/white sign with horse and Suffolk Downs logo. Otherwise, you can take I-93 south to Route 16 (exit 31). Route 16 east to junction with Route 145. Route 145 north for 3/4 mile to side entrance across from Shaw’s supermarket. There is another way through which you can move forward by taking I-95 south to Route 1 south. Take un-numbered exit at Route 60 rotary (large Showcase Cinemas complex on right as landmark) and follow rotary halfway around to Route 60 east. Follow straight for approximately 3 miles through two sets of lights, a rotary, another set of lights and then the large Bell Circle rotary where roadway becomes Route 1A south. Look for a green/white sign with horse and Suffolk Downs logo on left.
